There are many things to consider in picking out the mattress that is right for you. However, the greatest consideration is how comfortable the mattress feels when you lie on it. Your personal comfort is the the key to a great night's sleep. A "firm" mattress is not necessarily the mattress that will be right for you if it is uncomfortable to sleep on. The firmness of the mattress is determined by the amount and type of padding on top, which will vary based upon preferences (plush, pillowtop, firm, etc.). Bedding is essentially composed of three major parts: the coils, the padding and the boxspring. Durability is determined by the quality of the padding on top as well as the quality of the coil system and box spring.
